The Solstice Row is on the horizon! As part of our 10th Anniversary year, we are running a 24-hour fundraising row on the 15th to 16th June 2023, raising funds for Amble RNLI.
ACR Members are undertaking a continuous row in our two skiffs across 2 hour-shifts throughout the ‘Solstice Row’ period from 10am on Thursday 15th to 10am on Friday 16th June 2023.
We will have the Club gazebo set up to provide a satellite ‘base camp’ at Little Beach on the South end of Alnmouth Beach across the row period with refreshments and storage for the ACR team. Come and join us to help raise funds for this great cause and to support our crews!
Get involved and help support our local RNLI
The RNLI do essential work around the British coast and we want to recognise and support our local Amble station and crew.
All members, friends and family are invited to join us at any time during the row period, to support the active crews and to help raise funds. Amble RNLI are providing their fundraising equipment and you can donate through our Just Giving page.
Please encourage any sponsorship before and during the Solstice Row. Every penny helps to save lives at sea!

When are you rowing in the 24-hour Row?
We now have a timetable for those members who registered to take part and this schedule has been published on the Member Forum under the Solstice Row title.
Our thanks go to the team who have worked hard to get us all organised. Please can all participating members check the forum regularly for any updates.
Solstice Row Afternoon Tea and Brunch!
We are looking forward to members getting together at our ‘Solstice Row Base Camp’ throughout the row. We hope as many of you can join us as possible for two key events:
Solstice Row Afternoon Tea – Thursday 15th June 4pm. Bring along family and friends to join us as we support our crews. We are lucky to have some fantastic bakers and we will be encouraging you to consume and contribute to the cause as we monitor the non-stop row!
Solstice Row ‘We did it’ Brunch – Friday 16th June 10am. Join us for a celebratory breakfast ‘bacon butty’ at the Boat House as we watch our last crews complete the Solstice Row, due to finish at 10am on Friday.
More details to follow soon and we will ask you to register for Breakfast on the 16th to allow us to cater appropriately. Please keep an eye on the Members Forum for more information.
