SILVER at North Berwick Regatta

SILVER at North Berwick Regatta

Blue skies, azure sea, islands resembling Capri and Ischia and yachts aplenty – was it the Bay of Naples?

No! It was the North Berwick Regatta with Bass Rock and Craigleith Island reflecting the late summer sun rays. Around 50 skiffs took part in various categories. Each race was 3km long including a circumnavigation of Craigleith Island and in Race 7 our 240+ crew made winning a silver medal a truly family affair. Husband and wife (Dave and Rhoda), brother and sister (John and Marian) along with experienced cox (Peter) raced to second place in 19 minutes and 3 seconds only 9 seconds behind the gold medallists – Saint Ayles.

A fantastic performance by the 240+ crew and a brilliant day for all of the ACR crews gaining valuable experience racing in seven other categories.
