The 24-Hour Solstice Row is next week!
Our key fund-raising event for the RNLI this year has crept up on us quickly – and so too are the funds being raised. Our target of £600 has already been smashed with donations via the Just Giving Page and we hope that we can hit another big milestone by the end of the row on Friday 16th. Please keep spreading the word!
The row will commence at 10am on Thursday 15th June with the two skiffs running one-hour rowing shifts until 10am on Friday 16th June. The rowing is supported by an onshore team and a catering team. The key timings for the day are as follows:
Thursday 15th June:
08.30 – Event team to set up gazebo on beach and RNLI fundraising kit
09.00 – First crew to arrive for pre-row preparations
10.00 – First boat launched and 24-hour row schedule commences
15.00 – Afternoon tea crew meet at the Boathouse to set up
16.00 – 18.00 Fundraising afternoon tea for RNLI, please bring your family and friends to support
The row schedule continues through the night
Friday 16th June
09.00 – Breakfast event team to set up
10.00 – Last boat shift finishes & the celebrations begin!!!

Solstice Row Afternoon Tea, 15th June – ACR Gazebo on the Beach
We are lucky to have some fantastic bakers in our membership and we will be encouraging you to consume and contribute to the cause as we monitor the non-stop row! Join us between 4 – 6pm.
Solstice Row Breakfast BBQ, 16th June – ACR Boathouse
We will celebrate the end of the row with a breakfast BBQ at the Boathouse – Please REGISTER on the club website so we can get our sausage order right!
Share the fun!
Our crews will be overlapping to ensure we have at least one boat rowing throughout the 24-hour period so come and give them some moral support at any time to suit you during our Solstice Row.
The forecast is looking fair – we could be in for a breath-taking sunrise around 4am on the 16th if you’re up for it!

A great cause
We have had an amazing start to our fundraising for the RNLI and want to thank everyone who has donated so far by our Just Giving Page. Our Danish friends from Assens Roklub have kindly supported the cause too, following a great week rowing with ACR. Special thanks to them.
Please come and join us and continue to encourage donations before and during the Solstice Row. Every penny helps to save lives at sea.
